How to reserve a document at our Richelieu, Arsenal and Opéra sites

I whish to reserve a document (Richelieu, Arsenal or Opéra sites)

For all documents unavailable directly on the shelves, a request for the communication of the document is necessary.
The request can be made for the same day or up to 30 days in advance.
Please note
A valid pass to a research library is required

I connect to espacepersonnel.bnf.fr

I am using a library station
I put my Pass on the reader and I click on ‘Me connecter’

 

I already have an ID/password
I type my ID and password and I click on ‘Me connecter’
 
I don’t have an ID/password
I have to create an account. I click on “Créer un compte”

I search for the document...

  • catalogue.bnf.fr allows to reserve a document for the following sites and Departments : Arsenal Library, Performing Arts, Manuscripts (for printed material), Coins, Medals and Antiques (for printed material), Opéra Library, Maps and Plans  (at present in Room R at the François-Mitterrand site), Prints and Photography (only in the reading room and for the same day)
  • archivesetmanuscrits.bnf.fr allows to reserve archives and manuscripts for the following sites and Departments : Arsenal Library, Performing Arts, Manuscripts, Coins, Medals and Antiques, Opéra Library
Please note : I can access these reservations on my personal space by clicking on the ‘Réservations Richelieu-Louvois, Arsenal, Opéra (y compris les Cartes et plans)’ button

After finding the document I wish to reserve, I click on the ‘Réserver’ button

Please note
I can also bookmark the document by clicking ‘Ajouter à mes notices’ to easily reserve it later

After finding the document I wish to reserve, I click on the ‘Calendar icon’ to make the reservation.

I confirm my reservation

  • I click on the ‘Confirmer’ button
  • I choose a date for my reservation
  • I click on the ‘Finir’ button

Special cases : motivation or precisons on your request

Requests for certain documents are submitted to validation. I may by asked to motivate my request by indicating for example my research subject.

Certain call numbers are not precise enough, especially for periodical volumes, collected works or works sorted by publishers. I may by asked to precise my request (number, author, date).

 

Follow your reservations

By clicking on  ‘Suivi des réservations’, also accessible on the homepage of my personal space, I can visualize data by date my reservations. I can modify, duplicate or cancel them.
